For users who prefer a continous surface or must sharpen small or pointed tools, Dia-Sharp® Bench Stones are an excellent choice. They offer the same micronized monocrystalline diamond as DMT®’s signature polka dot pattern and are available in the widest array of sizes and grits, including Extra Extra Coarse and Extra Extra Fine.  All single-sided models come with non-skid rubber feet; the 6 inch model is available in a double-sided model.

The 8 Inch Bench Stone is our most popular Dia-Sharp® size. It’s large enough to handle almost any tool or knife and is manufactured in the widest grit range available. This size comes in all six DMT diamond grits, including Extra Extra Coarse (XX) for rapid stock removal and waterstone flattening and Extra Extra Fine (EE) for the finest polished edge of all bonded diamond abrasives!

    Extra-Extra Coarse diamond (120 micron / 120 mesh) for extreme removal of material and edge repair.
    Extra-Coarse diamond (60 micron / 220) when significant removal of material is needed for damaged edges.
    Coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) to quickly restore a neglected edge.
    Fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for a razor sharp edge.
    Extra-Fine diamond (9 micron / 1200 mesh) to polish and refine a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond stone.
    Medium Extra-Fine diamond (6 micron / 4000 mesh) to attain a polished edge on your tools and knives.
