Archery/Slingshots

Archery/Slingshots

Archery is the practice or skill of using a bow to propel arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically called an archer or a bowman.

Slingshots or catapults have been around since the mid 1800's. The classic form consists of a Y-shaped frame held in the off hand, with two rubber strips attached to the uprights. The other ends of the strips lead back to a pocket or pouch that holds the ammo. The beauty of slingshots is that almost anything can be used as ammo.
