The Becker BK4 is an American made kukri-style fixed blade. Many would classify this as a machete. With its 0.188" carbon steel blade, it's a heavy duty and very solidly built knife. The black epoxy coating provides corrosion resistance and added protection to the blade. The removable handles are great for medium and large size hands. Fit and finish are perfect with even grind lines and shaving sharp right out of the box. Becker products are manufactured by KA-BAR Knives in Olean, New York using top quality materials. The Nylon sheath features a hard plastic lining for safe and secure storage. This is a great investment for longtime ownership. We consider this to be one of the best value fixed blade knives.
Becker Knife & Tool Designs
Ethan Becker founded Becker Knife & Tool in the early 1980's and set about designing, manufacturing and selling the industrial-strength tactical and survival knives that he had always wanted for himself. His products, the BK&T line, have gone a long way to making these now popular all-black knives in demand.
Mr. Becker spends as much time as possible in the outdoors testing a variety of equipment and knife designs, and also works to expand his primitive and outdoor skills. He collaborated with KA-BAR in 2008 and has reintroduced and brought up to date his best selling models.
