The Schrade Extreme Survival Fixed Blade is a strong survival knife, for a good price. A no-nonsense knife, for no-nonsense tasks. The blade is made from stainless AUS10 steel. This means that, apart from sharpening it occasionally, you hardly need to think about maintenance. The edge has a slight curve. This is also called a 'recurve'. An important advantage of this is that the material is somehow pulled into the edge. This makes the knife just a little bit more efficient. The handle is made from Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE). Strong, offers enough grip and is rubbery. Very nice for a knife handle.

The Schrade Extreme Survival comes with a polymer sheath with front pocket with built in ceramic knife sharpener. The sheath has a belt loop that can be attached to belts up to 5.5 cm wide.
